If your home was constructed sometime after the early 2000s, you could have seen it is lacking square corners. Instead, most of your corners are rounded, or you've bullnose baseboard corners. This rounded drywall corner gives homes a contemporary look without too much trouble when drywalling.

But when you are installing the baseboard around Bullnose trim gauge home depot corners, things turn into more complicated. No longer are you lining as much as two forty five-degree corners (miters); putting in bullnose nook baseboard trim requires more precision.

STEP 1: PREP YOUR BASEBOARD PIECES
Your baseboard pieces should be no less than slightly longer than your wall sections. Measure your small items to the size of the nook they will finish on, but then reduce with the additional board on the top so that you can make your mark. Do this for each sides.

STEP 2: MAKE YOUR MARKS (MEASURE YOUR BASEBOARD)
Along with your trim prepped, take every bit and align it for marking. Mark each sides of the wall and each piece. Your wall line will now function a guide when fitting. You can double-check your mark with a tape measure, however if you have aligned everything sq., that needs to be accurate.

STEP 3: MAKE YOUR CUTS
Along with your pieces in hand, use your marks to make 22.5-degree cuts being careful not to cut the mark (leave your mark seen after you narrow). You’ll want these angled in to fit along with your middle-piece.

STEP four: CUT YOUR CENTER PIECE
A key difference between the usual forty five-degree cuts and the rounded trim corners is the middle- piece. The piece will slot in between your minimize items to carry the nook together. These need to be 5/eight’’ with two outward-facing 22.5-degree cuts.

STEP 5: FITTING
Together with your pieces in place, go back to your nook and dry-fit. Align the reduce on your size pieces to the mark on the wall to ensure they nonetheless match correctly.
